One of the main highlights of the Art Deco Preservation Ball is the presentation of the Art Deco Preservation Awards. Awards are given to the people who have helped preserve the buildings, art, and culture from the Art Deco era.

Lido Theatre, Newport Beach. Restoration of a 1939 Clifford A. Balch Art Deco movie theatre.
Gabriela Hernandez, CEO Bésame Cosmetics and makeup historian, Los Angeles. Carefully researched recreations of makeup and accessories of the 1920s,’30s, and ‘40s.
Art Deco Technology Award: Pacific Pinball Museum, Alameda. Preservation and education on the history of pinball, which first became popular in the 1930s.
Dave Radlauer, radio broadcaster and jazz historian. Oakland.Preservation and education on the history of jazz, especially of the Art Deco era.
